All hiking boots are not the same as I learnt recently when I bought my wife what I thought were a great pair of hiking boots for her birthday. My wife loves hiking and heads off whenever her schedule allows and so a pair of hiking boots seemed like the perfect gift and I headed off to the mall to see what I could find. There were hundreds of different boots to choose from and I chose a great looking pair which was on sale at what seemed to be a very reasonable price and felt confident that Jane would be delighted with them. Not so! Apparently, hiking boots vary considerably from one brand to the next and, although I had not noticed, all of Jane’s many pairs of boots were the same brand and, you guessed it, not the brand I bought. Still, Christmas is not too far away and so I guess I can win her back by getting her a pair of Asolo hiking boots to stash under the tree.
