Are there any rules about who can be the personal representative or executor of a will? I know that many estates have to go through probate, and I am trying to do whatever I can to arrange for everything before the event of my passing away. I want to have the executor named in my will if this is possible, but first I want to make sure I understand any rules regarding this, as well as the executor duties that they would be responsible for performing so that I can choose the right person for this. I want to do as much planning as possible to make this easy for them.
